Who it applies to:
- Standard or higher address trace reports only.
- Not available for in-depth, family/friend, consent-based, light, or basic cases — these are supplied on a full and final basis.
Purpose:
- Verifies that the information in your report matches the data from UK credit agencies (Experian, Equifax, TransUnion) and commercial providers like LexisNexis.
- Does not correct or rework the underlying data.
Limitations:
- Retrace requests must be made within 60 days of the original report.
- Find UK People® cannot provide indemnity, refunds, or guarantees for incorrect credit agency data.
- Retrace only confirms the data reported from third-party sources at the time of supply.
Options if data appears inaccurate:
- In-Depth Trace – Manual research for more robust verification (additional fees apply).
- Wait 45 Days – Credit agency data may update; another trace can be instructed at further cost.

- Retrace is for verification only, not correction.
- Errors in credit agency or third-party data are outside our control.
